Keramiekcentrum Tiendschuur Tegelen is both a museum and a workshop! Workshops are organised at the workshop where participants learn more about this unique craft of ceramics. An original and unforgettable day for your group with culture, nature, history, creativity and a pleasant atmosphere. Be inspired!

Painting ceramics
After a brief impression of the museum, you are going to paint ceramics at the workshop.Before this or during a short break, you can enjoy a cup of coffee. An experienced teacher teaches you engobe painting the way the old Tegelen potters used to do it with pencil, scriber and trailer.
Objects you can paint are: mugs, plates and cruet-stands.
Costs: from € 22,50 p.p. all in.
Minimum 8 persons, maximum 12.
Larger groups can be split up.
Duration: 2.5 hours incl. coffee and museum visit.

Would you rather dive into the clay?
After a brief impression of the museum, you get going at the workshop. Under the guidance of an experienced teacher, you put your ‘paws’ into the clay. And you are acquainted with modelling clay. Before this or during a short break, you can enjoy a cup of coffee, possibly accompanied by a piece of Limburg vlaai (flan) that was ordered separately. After the work pieces have dried, they are fired. They can be collected after 4 – 6 weeks.
Costs: €17,50 p.p. all in.

Modelling still lives with unlimited shelf life
Nice in the kitchen, on the wall, on the table, dresser or fridge: a still life of ceramic vegetables. Vegetables are extremely decorative. After a brief inspirational session at the museum, this workshop will teach you how to form, compose and paint vegetables and turn them into a still life with unlimited shelf life. In addition, other objects can be made in which vegetable motifs can be incorporated, such as small magnets, menu card holders and serviette rings. Before or during a short break, you can enjoy a cup of coffee, possibly accompanied by a piece of Limburg vlaai (flan). After drying, the pieces made are fired. They can be collected after 4 – 6 weeks.Costs: € 35 p.p. all in.

Modelling decorative animals and insect hotel
They look beautiful among the green in your garden. Garden decorations made of clay balls modelled into birds, fishes, insect hotels, and earwig or butterfly houses. After a brief session at the museum to inspire you, you are going to work balls of soft clay under expert guidance. Small operations change these balls into decorative animals or insect hotels, which are great for your garden! Before this or during a short break, you can enjoy a cup of coffee, possibly accompanied by a piece of Limburg vlaai (flan). After the drying, the pieces are fired. They can be collected after 4 – 6 weeks.Costs: €35 p.p. all in.

Get going at the potter’s wheel yourself!
Put yourself into the potter’s shoes. In this workshop, under the guidance of an experienced ceramicist, you are going to try and make a piece on the wheel yourself. Pot throwing is an exciting challenge and creates respect for this great craft commands respect. Before it or during a short break, you can enjoy a cup of coffee, possibly with vlaai. After the drying, the pieces are fired. They can be collected after 4 – 6 weeks.Costs: €35 p.p. all in.
