It can be seen again from December 1! Jac Bongaerts’ his three-meter-long Christmas group. This masterpiece of the museum will be brought out again for Christmas time. He worked more than 400 hours on this Christmas group that weighs more than 220 pounds. This Christmas group is placed in a Limburg landscape, with well-known figures from the youth of Bongaerts in Tegelen such as the fishmonger, the charcoal collector and the organ man who roam the streets. It is one of the last projects Jac Bongaerts made before his death in 1997. A movie shows Jac Bongaerts working on this Christmas group.
This masterpiece can be seen, along with a number of other Christmas groups, from December 1, 2020 to January 10, 2021.
